GPNEP – Group for Narrative Research and Teacher Education
Coordination: Dilma Maria de Mello
The research group investigates the theoretical framework and methodological alternatives of Narrative Research in Teacher Education. The group includes Professor Jean Clandinin, from University of Alberta, in Canada, a specialist and one of the pioneers in teacher training studies from the perspective of Narrative Research. His participation in the group reverberates amongst Brazilian and Canadian researchers interested in this type of research. The publication of a chapter authored by Professor Dilma M de Mello, leader of the research group, in the Narrative Research Handbook, published by Sage Publications, Canada, in 2007, and her translation of Jean Clandinin’s book Narrative Inquiry, in 2011, show the strength of the partnership between these two researchers.
